We offer a selection of quality beers inspired by the French-American connection.

We are driven by the desire to bridge historic European recipes and techniques with dynamic and innovative recipes from the American craft beer scene.

The genesis of Timothy's, "Le Brasseur du Pape"...

In Eguisheim (Alsace - France), the birthplace of Pope Saint Leo IX, Timothy is renovating an old 16th century winery. His objective is to offer a new history to this estate, by breathing new life into it's walls and to the surrounding craft beer scene.

Timothy and his wife Hélène invite you to come and taste their craft beer experience, their little "renaissance"!

The longer version of our story ...

Timothy's is a brewery based on family values, inspired by a love story between the USA and France. The Founder and Head Brewer, Timothy Todd, is an American married to a lovely French-American, Hélène Todd (Co-Founder). Timothy and Hélène were married in France, and lived in Alsace from 1992 to 2001 when Timothy was working in Switzerland. Their three children were born nearby in Mulhouse.

The family returned to the USA in 2001, however, chose to make the move back to France almost 20 years later.  Their children, now adults, had decided to make their life in France. Timothy and Hélène likewise decided to return to Alsace in October 2019, and chose to make their home in Eguisheim, where the couple had spent their 5th year wedding anniversary.

The brewery was founded in 2021, after Timothy acquired his experience as a brewer in the United States, at the University of Regis in Denver, Colorado. A former "employee of the Pope" as Corporate Controller for the Archdiocese of Denver, he chose the name "Le Brasseur du Pape" (The Pope's Brewer), a nice marriage between his previous role and of course, Pope St. Leo IX of Eguisheim.
